Clothing Optional

Why are people always trying to put a shirt and pants on me? It's so much fun to just be naked, especially during important times like right before I need to go to school and after bath time.

Say It Loud

Hi everybody! I would like to TELL you about myself and the things I have been doing lately. I love talking about things, at least in my own little language.

When Mommy reads a book to me, I read along in a VERY LOUD voice and I point out the shapes and pictures. When I see a picture of a shoe, I say SHOE! SHOE! When I see a pig or a bird, I point and say "AH!" When I see an airplane I say "UP!"

Sometimes I stand at the top of the staircase looking for Lucas and call him "AAAAYAAAHHH!" Sometimes I scream for my toys or because Lucas took something I really wanted to play with. When Daddy or Lucas bother me, I just tell on them to Mommy with a point and a scream. I am preparing to be an awesome tattle tale.

I am graduating to the Otters class this week, just like my brother did in 2006. Wish me luck!

Springtime Already?

Where are the months going? I guess it must be my busy schedule. After all, I am a walking, talking (well, signing and babbling), eating, and playing machine!

I love wearing my shoes, as well as delivering Lucas's shoes and Daddy's shoes to them. I like to sit on the step at the front door and try to put my shoes on my little baby feet. I also like to take them off sometimes and try to put them back on, but when I can't I just get mad and throw them down and yell. By then, Mommy or Daddy has come to my aid.

In the communication department, I can sign the words "please" and "thank you" and "more". This works wonders for getting foods that I want from Mommy. I need to figure out the sign for yogurt though, because I always crave it! If I see yogurt in the store, I start screaming that I want to eat it immediately!

Instead of always breaking down the tower of legos, now I try to help my brother make something with them. I will hand him legos to put together or I will try to help. But he doesn't usually like me to mess with his masterpieces very much.

Enough for tonight. Perhaps I will give a report again soon, in between my baby yoga (super baby with mommy), luxury spa (bath), and pedicure (nail trim).

My First Year

Sorry for my long absence, everybody! A lot has changed since my last post - for one thing, we are in a new year - both on the calendar and in my life! I celebrated my #1 with some carrot cake and family playtime this Saturday. Grandma, Grandpa, Nai-Nai, Ye-Ye, Double Uncle Dave, Kimberly, Brian, Elliot, Daddy, and Lucas....oh, yeah, and Mommy - all got to hang out with me and see me wear a silly princess hat and play with toys that my brother kept managing to steal.

By the way - I LOVE carrot cake! I ate a whole messy piece all by myself. Thanks to Nai-Nai for assistance with that.

Some new tricks this quarter include learning to give and blow kisses, feeding myself quite well, and graduating to the big babies class! I am now an honorary Huskie Pup and my brother and Mommy love to take me to play with my new friends and some familiar faces. I have the same teachers that Lucas knew when he was my age!

I am a hungry hippo eating plenty of solid table foods, cereal, rice, soup, meat, baby foods, bread, and still a good bit of formula. Despite my daytime meals and snacks though, I am still waking Mommy up to eat more during the night. What can I say? Us tall growing girls gotta have that extra nutrition.

So I am off to bed now. It's been an exciting weekend and I am pooped from hanging out with Mommy and Grandma, waiting around at a place with lots of cars and tires, and listening to other babies in a big restaurant where some crazy guy kept throwing fire and rice on our table.

Good night!
