Front and Center

Hi, everyone,

Sorry I haven't been writing often; a lot of changes have been going on with my little body. I have 2 brand new teeth, in the front bottom. They were giving me a bit of discomfort but I handled it pretty well. I was busily munching away on Mommy's hand as usual, when she said "Ooo, something sharp in there!" They are cute little white buds right now, but soon to become big perly chompers.

Unfortunately, I am not feeling myself today. Mommy and I stayed up all night crying and whining and tossing and turning...well I did all that, Mommy just tried to comfort me. She couldn't give me medicine because I threw up all my food, so I wouldn't swallow it down. Eventually though, she finally did get me to drink some medicine and some more bottle, and now I can take a satisfying nap.

Send some hugs and kisses my way, and pray for a speedy recovery.

Pitter Patter Streeetch Chew Chew

It's a big day in babydom! I've reached a pinacle of development, an apex of human biology, a landmark on the map of life! I can eat my own feet! Yippee!

Also on the news desk - I started school on Friday. So far, I'm doing fine. I met lots of nice new teachers and they take good care of me and feed me and rock me and play with me. Then at the end of the day Mommy and Lucas pick me up and I am so happy!

Firsts

The weekend was filled up with a lot of new things. Friday night, Mommy introduced me to cereal. I liked the taste, but I don't quite understand the whole spoon concept yet. I laughed a lot when she was feeding me, because it was just so silly not using a bottle!

Then on Saturday, I went along with everybody to the swimming pool. When Mommy dipped me into the cool water, I looked a bit confused. But soon I grew to feel very comfy and almost feel asleep in Daddy's arms. It was a nice day and Lucas and I were spent. But after a change, we all went over to the "restaurant with the guitar man". This is Lucas's favorite restaurant, because the guitar man sings fun songs to us and you can color on the table. But what would I know, I just sit there in my carseat and make bubble sounds.

Yes, another first of mine to emerge is the fun sounds I can make with my lips and spit bubbles. It makes Mommy do funny things and smile and giggle. And as you know giggling is contagious so we have loops of fun.

Doctor Reports "Off The Charts"

Check out my latest headline. At my 4-month check up yesterday, I was 27 inches long. According to Dr. Knapp and her nurses, that is off the charts! I am a long and lean baby.

I was full of smiles and telling the doc all about my trials with turning over and trying to move. Recently, I started putting my little bootie in the air and inching myself foreward. I am determined to go places.

Mommy says she is anticipating an early walker. I say runner!
